Dr. Lucas Kim was born and raised in Auburn, Washington, just a short drive from the office. Inspired by the powerful impact dentistry can have—relieving pain, restoring confidence, and helping patients smile again—he was drawn to the profession at an early age.

He earned both his undergraduate degree and Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from Loma Linda University. Following graduation, Dr. Lucas served as a Medical Officer in the U.S. Air Force for four years, where he also completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) program, further strengthening his clinical expertise.

As co-owner of Covington Complete Dentistry, Dr. Lucas set out with his brother to create a truly personalized dental experience. He takes pride in treating each patient as an individual, carefully considering their preferences, needs, and past dental experiences to develop comprehensive, tailored treatment plans.

Outside the office, Dr. Lucas enjoys staying active—whether he’s on the golf course with his brother, working out at the gym, spending time with his dog, or exploring the beauty of the Pacific Northwest.

Dr. Justin grew up in nearby Auburn, Washington, alongside his brother, Dr. Lucas. Guided by a deep commitment to his faith and a passion for serving others, he had the unique opportunity to serve as a Christian missionary in Bolivia before pursuing a career in dentistry.

That same desire to help people ultimately led him to the dental profession. Dr. Justin earned both his bachelor’s degree and Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from Loma Linda University.

As co-owner of Covington Complete Dentistry, Dr. Justin shares his brother’s philosophy of personalized, relationship-based care. He is passionate about building genuine connections with his patients and strives to be a trusted partner in their journey toward better oral health.

Outside the office, Dr. Justin enjoys staying active—whether that’s golfing, working out, or spending time outdoors. He also loves exploring the Pacific Northwest with his wife and their beloved pup, often stopping by local coffee shops along the way.

When you arrive, you’ll be warmly greeted by our front office team and checked in for your visit.

One of our clinicians—either a dental assistant or hygienist—will bring you back to a treatment room and get you comfortable. They’ll begin by taking any necessary X-rays, completing your cleaning, charting existing dental work, and performing a thorough gum (periodontal) assessment.

Once everything is gathered, the doctor will come in to carefully review all findings. They’ll perform a comprehensive exam, walk you through what they see, and discuss any recommended treatment or follow-up care so you feel fully informed and confident in your next steps.

After your oral exam, your dentist or hygienist will perform a professional teeth cleaning to remove plaque and tartar. They’ll scale, polish, and floss your teeth to leave them feeling fresh and clean.
